If you want to serve cosmetic products to United Kingdom, you need to prepare a Product Information File (PIF) as described in Cosmetic Regulation 2009/1223. PIF is a living document and should be updated for each cosmetic product seperately as necessary.
PIF should include following informations with details:
• Description of the cosmetic product
• The Cosmetic Product Safety Report
• Method of manufacture and GMP
• Nature and proof of effect of the product
• Animal testing
Article 11 of Cosmetic Regulation 2009/1223 describes that the Product Information File for Cosmetic Product should be kept for ten years after the last party product placed on the shelfs, by the Responsible Person.
The responsible person must store PIF in a safe area and make it accessible electronically or in another format.
