Since January 2021, United Kingdom Regulation 2009/1223 for cosmetic products came into force. According to this regulation a Responsible Person should be identified for cosmetic products served on the United Kingdom Market. So on the first step you need to identify a responsible person for your cosmetic products just described as in the Cosmetic Regulation’s articles 4 and 5.
Article 4 of UK Cosmetic Regulation 2009/1223 provides that a cosmetic product can not be placed on the GB market unless there is a Responsible Person established in the UK in respect of that cosmetic product.
Responsible Person (RP) is obliged to ensure the compliance of the cosmetic product just described as in Cosmetic Regulation. UK based RP should ensure the complaince of products which is served to the United Kingdom market. RP is the only contact person with the competent UK Authorities.
